The Teamster Homepage Layout and Modules Explained.

The home page of Teamster offers great flexibility. It comes with three modules you can turn on and off as you please. These modules are as follows; An about module, author module, and a featured post module.

Setting up the About Module

The about module is a simple place to provide a snippet about you, your team, or your site. It also offers the ability to link to your contact page. Here is what the theme options for this section look like. You can quickly set the title of the module, pick the page you’d like the contact link to go to, as well as write a short about section in the provided text box.

Setting up the Author Module

The author module is a cool way to show off the posts from your team of authors. To add authors you simply create users in your WordPress admin, you can then fill out their biographical information there as well as their contact, blog, and social links.

The Author Profile Settings

To complete your author module setup, refer to the screenshot below. You can quickly enable the author sorter and then choose how many authors to show, and what post type to show. You can also include a link to your team page. Teamster includes a great team page template that works great for a team page.

That’s all you need to do, besides have authors setup in the WordPress user admin. Once you’ve done that you can navigate the “Appearance > Menus” page and add a menu item to your navigation so visitors can easily access the page.
